Nothing in my experience or in my observation has the transformative power of our simple, twice daily practice. It is not the only practice that will take one to the place of renewal and power within each of us, but it is one that I have found that works, and works consistently.
 
What is required is that we find a way to give ourselves a pleasurable 20 minutes, seated comfortably in a chair, twice each day.
 
If you have fallen off your practice, or simply want to be reinvigorated, sit in on the course again with me (in New York, next week, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday; and the first week of May, here in Studio City) or with any of my colleagues. You are pre-paid for life to take the course or any part of the course whenever you would like, as often as you would like. Take advantage of this. I did, often and repeatedly. It changed my life. Or talk to your teacher about getting an advanced technique.
 
If you are not yet a meditator in the Vedic tradition, come to an intro talk–again, with me (Sunday evening June 18th in Studio City) or with any of my colleagues. The talks are relatively painless, sometimes entertaining and always free. You will probably be given some new way of thinking about consciousness, you might be inspired to pick up a practice you already have that somewhere in your past has been set aside; or you might find yourself wanting to learn Vedic Meditation.
 
In any case, take advantage of the opportunities available to support you in your spiritual growth. As Maharishi said of meditation:
 
Do not pay attention to every leaf in your orchard. Water the root, and enjoy the fruit.

This morning, before checking any more email, I will push away from the computer and have a meditation. Then this afternoon/evening, before dinner, I will have another. Just for today. And I will pay attention to see if it doesn’t make my life, and my brain, run a bit more smoothly.
